The ceremonial county of Tyne and Wear is divided into 13 Parliamentary constituencies. They are all Borough constituencies.

Parliamentary constituencies in Tyne and Wear

The Boundary Commission for England has provisionally recommended that the county should in future be divided into 12 constituencies. The proposals and objections were subjected to public inquiry in June, 2005. Final proposals were produced on January 11, 2006, for implementation at the United Kingdom general election, 2009/10.
