This page presents a list of the tallest skyscrapers buildings and structures in the Paris region, consisting of the inner Paris urban area (Paris and neighboring communes).

The Paris urban area contains the most skyscrapers of any metropolitan area in the European Union:[1] as of late 2007, there are 14 skyscrapers that reach a height of at least 150 meters (492 feet), with one more under construction (Tour AXA), compared to 10 such skyscrapers in London and Frankfurt and four in Madrid and Warsaw. Most of Paris's high-rise buildings are located in three distinct areas; La Défense, located in the western inner suburbs in the département of the Hauts-de-Seine, Italie 13, located in the southern half of the 13th arrondissement, and the Front de Seine, located in the 15th arrondissement.

La Défense is the largest purpose-built business district in Europe. Unlike the other high-rise areas, La Défense is dominated mostly by office buildings. The 13th arrondissement towers are mostly residential, located in the south of the arrondissement, in what is today Chinatown. Most of the buildings of the Front de Seine, which is in close proximity to the Eiffel Tower, were built in the 1970s and 1980s and are of mixed commercial and residential use.

Other high-rise buildings are scattered throughout the Paris area, mainly in close proximity to the Périphérique freeway. These include Les Mercuriales in Bagnolet, the Tour Pleyel in Saint-Denis, and the Hôtel Concorde Lafayette in the city proper (near the Porte Maillot). The tallest skyscraper of Paris, the Tour Montparnasse, stands alone in the Montparnasse area.

This list is a survey of the top 100 tallest buildings and structures in the Paris urban area[2]. The list is sorted by official height. If two or more structures have the same height, equal ranking is given and the structures are listed in alphabetical order.

The Authority managing La Défense, the EPAD, has launched several contests for new towers in a large scale operation of renovation of the business district. The tallest towers are expected to exceed 300 m. Other proposed projects are currently being talked about in other municipalities of the inner suburbs such as Issy-les-Moulineaux, Boulogne-Billancourt or Saint-Denis.
