List of winners of the Boston Marathon

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This page lists the winners of the Boston Marathon, the oldest annual marathon in the world.

Contents

† denotes a course-record performance. The 42.195km (26.2 mile) length of marathon was not fixed before the 1924 Paris Olympics, and the Boston course varied as well. See the Boston Marathon article for details on the course. Due to these changes, the marathon recognizes several course records which are slower than previous records due to being run on longer courses.[1]

(WR) denotes a world record.

(2nd), (3rd), etc. denotes Boston Marathon victory number for competitor.
