Lucile Watson (27 May 187924 June 1962) was an Oscar-nominated Canadian actress. Watson was born in Quebec City.

Watson's first film role was in the 1916 silent film The Girl with Green Eyes, a film version of the play she had performed in on Broadway. Around this time she was briefly married to the silent film star Rockcliffe Fellows. She did not appear in another movie until 1930, when she had an uncredited role in The Royal Family of Broadway.

Watson was primarily a stage actress, starring in such plays as Captain Jinks of the Horse Marines, Heartbreak House, Ghosts, The Importance of Being Earnestand Pride and Prejudice. Her second husband was playwright Louis E. Shipman whom she married in 1928. She was widowed in 1933.

She is perhaps best know for her role as Mrs. Fanny Farrelly in Watch on the Rhine, a role that she first performed on Broadway in 1941. In 1943, she recreated this role for Hollywood, and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.

Other movies included The Garden of Allah, The Women, Waterloo Bridge, The Thin Man Goes Home, Song of the South and Little Women.
