Lynda Bryans

Lynda Bryans is a Northern Irish television presenter and journalist. She is currently a presenter and reporter for UTV Live.

Lynda is married to fellow Northern Irish television presenter and journalist Mike Nesbitt, who until February 2006, co-presented UTV Live regularly with his wife.

Lynda first made her name as a newsreader on BBC's Inside Ulster in 1988. She reported for and presented the programme for seven years, as well as reading daytime news bulletins and briefly covering continuity shifts for BBC NI.

Lynda soon went on to network presenting, assisting Rolf Harris on Animal Hospital in 1996 and reporting for the Holiday programme, before joining UTV Live in late 1996.

Along with her husband Mike, Lynda co-writes a weekly column in the Sunday World newspaper. The couple also presented Anglia Television's networked Sunday Morning series together from 1999 to 2001, and two series of UTV's home and garden series Home Sweet Home in 2004 and 2006.

Lynda has also featured on News 40, ITV's recreation of news events from World War II in a contemporary style and Dateline Jerusalem, recreating the news events at the time of the birth of Jesus Christ.

In 2001, and from April 2004 to August 2005, Lynda appeared occasionally as a newsreader on the ITV News Channel at weekends, and in the autumn of 2004, Lynda was seen presenting ITV1 London news magazine London Tonight.

November 2005 saw Lynda become part of the daytime line-up of UTV's new radio station, U105, hosting the 12.00-15.00 slot, U105 Lunch.

Lynda has two children.
