Lynne Yelich

Lynne Yelich (nee Zdunich) (born March 24, 1953) is a third-generation Croatian-Canadian politician and the MP for the riding of Blackstrap.
Born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, she was the Executive Assistant for former MP, Allan Kerpan. She was first elected as a Canadian Alliance candidate in the 2000 election. She was re-elected in 2004 as a Conservative candidate. She was critic for Grain Transportation (2002-2004) and Cities (2003-2004). In the election of 2006, she was re-elected. Following the election win of the Conservatives, she was appointed Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development.
Yelich has introduced private member's motions to make sexually explicit material contraband in prisons, keep open local weather stations, establish a report on decorum in the House, and support research on endometriosis.
