The Jeffersonian Mammoth (Mammuthus jeffersonii) is a North American species of mammoth. It lived alongside the Columbian Mammoth (Mammuthus columbi) and the Imperial Mammoth (Mammuthus imperator). Many scientists believe all three to be the same species because of the similarities in size, body shape and location.
