Maria Doyle Kennedy

Maria Doyle (born 1964) is an Irish actress and singer (known as Maria Doyle Kennedy since her 1988 marriage to musician Kieran Kennedy) who appeared in Irish movies such as The Commitments, about a musical group, which also starred Bronagh Gallagher and Angeline Ball; and The General, with Brendan Gleeson, about the notorious Irish gangster Martin Cahill, who was killed by the IRA.
She also appeared in Gregory's Two Girls.
She is currently playing the role of Katherine of Aragon, wife of King Henry VIII, in Showtime's original series The Tudors.
Maria Doyle Kennedy sang with the Irish band Hothouse Flowers in their early years, and has performed a cover version of Nickelback's "How You Remind Me" on the 2003 charity album Even Better than the Real Thing Vol. 1.
Maria releases her own music on Mermaid Records, a label she founded herself in 2001.
Maria's new release is entitled Mütter. It took four years to make, due mainly to acting and family commitments. Maria and Kieran have 3 children, and she is currently expecting their fourth.
