Marlow family

The Marlow family were created by Antonia Forest and appear in a series of twelve novels, ten set in the twentieth century and two in Shakespearean England.

The main family consists of:

Geoffrey, Commander (and later Captain) Marlow R.N.

married to

Pamela, née Maunsell (sister of Molly, Piers, Rolo, Giles and Terence)

children:

  • Giles, Lieutenant Marlow R.N.
  • Karen (Kay) Gabriel Anstruther Dodd, née Marlow
  • Rowan Marlow
  • Ann Marlow
  • Virginia (Ginty) Marlow
  • Peter Marlow
  • Nicola Marlow
  • Lawrence (Lawrie) Sybil Marlow - a girl, despite the name

Geoffrey's cousin Jon and uncle Lawrence owned the family home, Trennels, until Jon's death in Falconer's Lure.

Karen's husband is Edwin Dodd and his three children are Charles, Rose and Phoebe.


The sixteenth century Marlows are:

Geoffrey, married to Kate.

His brother Nicholas, married to Bess Burby (possibly Burbage?)
