Martha Zoller

Martha Mitchell Zoller is a radio personality on WDUN AM 550 located in Gainesville, Georgia as well as columnist and author. She makes regular appearances on Fox 5 Atlanta's The Georgia Gang and frequent guest appearances on networks such as CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC. Martha has also worked with other notable personalities including the nationally syndicated host Sean Hannity. Martha has appeared on programs such as Talkback Live, Hannity & Colmes, and Larry King Live as well as newspaper columns in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Access North Georgia, and a feature on the cover of The New York Times in 2005. Martha was named to Talkers magazine’s 2005 and 2006 list of Most Important Radio Talk Show Hosts in the Country. She is one of Georgia Trend Magazine's Most Important Media people for 2005 and James Magazine's Most Influential Georgians for 2005 and 2006.

Martha was born on August 23, 1959 to Frank and Juanita Mitchell. Her father was a veteran of World War II in Europe and POW escapee and her mother worked with the Rich's company. Martha is the youngest of 4 children. Attending Columbia High School in DeKalb County, GA, Martha went on to graduate from The University of Georgia in 1979 with a degree in Journalism. She began her political career with working for the Michael Dukakis Presidential Campaign in 1988. She now resides in Gainsville, GA with her husband, daughter and 3 step sons
Hitting the airwaves in 1994 co-hosting Mid-Day on WDUN, Martha now hosts her own show: The Martha Zoller Show which airs 9:30am-11:30am Monday through Friday on WDUN AM 550. Nick-named The Velvet Hammer she addresses tough political and current issues with her signature unyeilding morals and sensitive mannerisms. With this unique style of debate, Martha has made a name for herself with fellow personalities and has achieved success with a broad range of listeners.
Martha appeared on CNN after Stephen Colbert at the 2006 White House Correspondents' Association Dinner and said that she thought that this proves that the media has a liberal bias because they weren't as has hard on him as they were on Don Imus in 1996. Media Matters said that both Martha and the host, Lou Dobbs ignored newspapers in which Colbert was attacked for not being funny, and being too disrespectful towards the president, and that many major networks did not even air Colbert's skit.
Martha released her first book Indivisible: Uniting Values for a Divided America (Stroud & Hall Publishers) in 2005. She is currently working on her second book which will be released in 2007. Martha is currently working with CNN on a TV program that will feature 5 personalities and will air in September 2006. The show will address current issues with a debate approach with balanced opinions and views.
In 2005, Martha visited Baghdad, Iraq with the Voices of Soldiers Tour and participated in the JCOC program through the United States Department of Defense. Martha also works on many projects for military personnel and their families. Lt. Col. Bob Quinn from Alpharetta, Georgia told audiences recently that "Martha Zoller is to the Veteran today what Martha Rae was during the Viet Nam War."
