The District of Mat (Albanian: Rrethi i Matit) is one of the thirty-six districts of Albania. It is named after the Mat River, that flows through the district. It has a population of 98,000 (2004 estimate), and an area of 1,028 km². It is in the centre of the country, and its capital is Burrel. Other places in this district include Klos, Krastë, and Ulzë.
