Meade Senior High School

Meade Senior High School is a public secondary school for grades 9 through 12 located at Fort Meade, Maryland and is administered by Anne Arundel County Public Schools. Since its opening in 1977, Meade High School has been accreditated by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Secondary Schools.

Course curriculum departments include: Art, Army JROTC, Business Education, English, Family & Consumer Counseling, Foreign Language (Spanish, French, German), Mathematics, Music, Physical & Health Education, Science, Social Sciences, Special Education, and Technology Education.

All Meade students are encouraged to participate in one or more clubs or activities, including: Math Club, It's Academic, National Honor Society, Computer Club, FBLA, Step Squad, Key Club, Drill Team, Dance Club, Multicultural Team, DECA, Newspaper, Literary Magazine, Yearbook, Student Government, Band, and Drama.

The Meade Mustangs participate in a variety of sports, including:

  • Jessica Benson, singer/vocalist for the R&B trio 3LW
  • Connie Isler, youngest head coach at Division I level, women's golf at Georgetown University
  • Elijah Thurmon, wide receiver, CFL's Calgary Stampeders; former NFL wide receiver, Philadelphia Eagles and Oakland Raiders [1][2]
