(1995)

Melody is the debut album by Joy Electric that was released in November, 1994. In 2006, it was re-released on iTunes, along with Robot Rock and CHRISTIANsongs. Unlike the majority of Joy Electric's discography, this album features instruments other than the standard analog synthesizer, including drum machines and samplers. In contrast to the majority of this album, songs such as "Never Be A Star" and "The Dark Ages" are actually quite dark and melancholy in nature, a style Martin further explored in this album's EP, Five Stars for Failure. This album continues to be a fan favorite as well as one of Martin's personal favorites.
