Meneng

Meneng (or Menen) is a district and constituency in the country Nauru. In this district is the Menen Hotel, the more expensive of the island's two tourist institutions (the other hotel is in Aiwo). Near the hotel is Anibare Bay.

Other locations in Meneng include:

  • the wireless station
  • the State House (presidential residence; recently burned down)
  • the Government Printing Office
  • the Menen Stadium (under construction)

The district is located in the southeast of the island, covers an area of 3.1 km² and has a population of 1400. It returns 2 members to the Nauruan Parliament in Yaren.
