Mercedes Catherine Lindsay (born February 9, 1981) is a beauty queen from Washington, D.C. who will compete in the Miss USA pageant in 2007.
Lindsay won the Miss District of Columbia USA 2007 title in a pageant held in early December 2006. This was her fourth attempt at the title, as she placed fourth runner-up in both the 2006 and 2005 events and was a semi-finalist in the 2003 pageant. Lindsay's sister titleholder is Ava Goldson, Miss District of Columbia Teen USA 2007.
Lindsay will now represent the District of Columbia in the Miss USA 2007 pageant which will be held in the spring of 2007 in an as-yet unannounced location. She was crowned by Candace Allen, who placed in the top ten at the Miss USA 2006 pageant which was held in Baltimore, Maryland in April 2006.
Lindsay is currently dating Redskins quarterback Jason Campbell, and the two attended the mayor's inaugural bash in Washington D.C. together.[1]
