Military of El Salvador

Fuerza Armada de El Salvador (El Salvador Armed Forces) is the official name of the combined armed forces of El Salvador. It has been in existence since breaking up from the United Provinces of Central America in 1840.Recently, the El Salvadoran Army decided to follow the example of the Israel Defence Forces. Both nations have a similar population: 6,000,000 citizens.
