Miss Florida Teen USA

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Miss Florida Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Florida in the Miss Teen USA pageant.

In terms of number of placements, Florida has not been very successful, having only five semi-finalist placings. More notably, Florida ties with Illinois for most Miss Photogenic awards (3). These were won in a successive streak from 1996-1998.

Miss Florida Teen USA and Miss Teen USA's Miss Photogenic in 1997, Cristin Duren, later became Miss Florida USA 2006. Although Duren was Florida's only "crossover" to the Miss Florida USA title, fellow Miss Photogenic winner Kelly Gaudet would later win the title Miss Florida 2001 and compete at Miss America.
