Miss Lebanon

Miss Lebanon - Lebanon's Official National Beauty Pageant (Arabic: انتخابات ملكة جمال لبنان ) is a beauty contest in Lebanon. It takes the form of reality television, wherein contestants live together for six weeks.

Miss Lebanon is the only national beauty contest that awards prizes worth more than half a million US dollars to its winners. It is broadcast by the Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation (LBC).

During one year, the Lebanese winners compete in two of the five major beauty pageants, (Miss World, Miss Universe, Miss International, Miss Intercontinental and Miss Earth), while two handpicked national contestants is chosen for the remaining ones.

Some delegates in the pageant during the years that have reached attention are Reine Antoine (1978), Nina Kadis (1998) and Bethany Kehdi (2002).

Miss Lebanon 2006 is Annabella Hilal, handpicked to compete the reign in 2006 and 2007, due political issues in the country. Therefore, 2006 had no pageant.

Miss Lebanon Casting Calls have been shown on the Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation (LBC), asking young women of the nation to audition starting February 24, 2007. The pageant will air LIVE on LBC, April 27.
