Moira Lister

Moira Lister, Vicomtesse d’Orthez (b. August 6, 1923, Cape Town, South Africa) is a British actress.
Born in Cape Town to Major James Lister and Margaret (née Hogan), Moira Lister was educated at Parktown Convent of the Sacred Heart, Johannesburg. She married the Vicomte d’Orthez in 1951; they have two daughters.
She began her acting career on stage in South Africa and then went on to act in the London theater as a teenager. Lister began working in films in 1944, and appeared in such movies as The Limping Man.
She also had a regular role in the first series of the BBC radio comedy Hancock's Half Hour.
She belongs to the British Catholic Stage Guild.
