Morgan Turinui

Morgan Turinui (born January 5, 1982) is an Australian rugby union footballer. Morgan weighs 100 kg and plays in the centres for all of his rugby union teams. He was the Australian Schoolboys captain in 2000 and went on to represent the Australian under 21's side in 2002. He also played for the Australian Sevens side in Hong Kong and Beijing.
During the 2003 Tooheys New Cup he ran in a dazzling six tries for Randwick against Warringah. This did not go unnoticed, and he made his debut for his state team, the New South Wales Waratahs, in 2003 as well. His state debut was against the Blues, and he has 95 state points to date. He made his debut during the Super 12 and has racked up an incredible 75 points already in only 34 caps. It was in that same year that Morgan made his Test debut for Australia against Ireland.
Morgan Turinui was a part of the Wallabies Campaign for the 2003 Rugby Union World Cup and, in September 2005, was named as vice-captain of the Wallabies for a test against the All Blacks. He has since not been able to keep a place in the Wallabies team.
Turinui has Maori ancestry, and has said he would love one day to play for the New Zealand Maori side should the NZRFU open their selection up to players based outside of New Zealand.[citation needed]
