Murcia is a 2nd class municipality in the province of Negros Occidental, Philippines. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 59,358 people in 11,644 households.

Murcia is politically subdivided into 23 barangays.

MAMBUCAL MOUNTAIN RESORT-- located in Brgy Minoyan. one of the most attractive and beautiful resorts in Murcia.It is well-known for its Sulfur Hot Spring and beautiful cascading falls. Located at the foot of a mountain, the resort is also known for its beautiful boating lagoon. The resort has a good hotel - the Lodge.

KAFTrees Retreat House and Orchard - Located in Brgy. Caliban. A Quiet venue for retreats, seminars, conventions, weddings and all occasions. Natural orchards provide cool and serene accommodations.

CALIBAGO RIVER RESORT-- Located in Brgy Lopez Jaena but as of the moment, the operation in the said resort was temporarily stopped due to the constant flooding of the area.

PANDANON RIVER RESORT--Located in Brgy Pandanon. This river resort is famous for its cold river nearby coupled with a tropical rain forest atmosphere.

CLIFF TAVERN-- Located in Brgy. San Miguel.This is actually a mini resort near the river.

    This school is run by the Guanzon family, but was originally founded by Georgina Agustin and her husband, Leodegario Agustin, Rev. Exequiel F. Guanzon and his wife.
