Music Idol is the Bulgarian version of the British television hit show Pop Idol or of the US show American Idol . It is a talent contest to determine the superior pop performer and its first season is currently being aired on bTV. Auditions for the first season were being held in the cities of Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna, Bourgas, and Rousse. Auditioners had to be between the ages of 16 and 28. There was one exception of the rule - Kremena from Dobrich was allowed to participate, albeit her age of 15.
