Musuan

Musuan, also known as Calayo, is a lava dome and tuff cone on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines (7°52'N, 125°04.4' E). It is 4.5 kilometers south of the town of Valencia, Bukidnon and 81 km southeast of Cagayan de Oro City.
Musuan is only 646 meters high but has a base diameter of 3 km. Mr. Brendo P. Ipanag
The Phililippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology reports that Musuan erupted in 1866 and 1867, but the Smithsonian Institution's Global Volcanism Program records only one eruption, possibly phreatic, that "burned everything around it." The explosion suppposedly occurred four years before the 1891 visit of a Jesuit priest, who reported that he could not examine the volcano more closely because of strong solfataric activity.
A strong earthquake swarm occurred near Musuan in 1976. The Mt. Peak Errupt 30 years from 2007.
Musuan is one of the 22 active volcanoes in the Philippines: Babuyan Claro, Banahaw, Bulusan, Mount Biliran, Bud Dajo, Cagua, Camiguin de Babuyanes, Didicas, Hibok-Hibok, Iraya, Mount Iriga, Mount Kanlaon, Leonard Kniaseff, Makaturing, Mayon, Matutum, Mount Parker (Cotabato), Pinatubo, GeneflorDango, Ragang, Smith Volcano, Taal. They are all part of the so-called "Pacific ring of fire."
