MyAir

MyAir (My Way Airlines) is a low-cost airline based in Milan, Italy. It operates domestic services and international flights to Romania, Bulgaria and Spain. Its main base is Orio al Serio Airport, Bergamo, near Milan.

The airline was established in 2004 and started operations on December 17, 2004 with three Airbus A320-200s wet-leased from other airlines. The following week it received its own air operator certificate and started operations with its own Airbus A320-200. It is backed by former Volare Airlines management. [2]

MyAir operates the following services[citation needed]:

  • Bari: Bucharest-Băneasa, Genoa, Milano-Orio, Milano-Malpensa, Paris-Charles de Gaulle.
  • Bologna: Barcelona, Brindisi, Bordeaux, Bucharest-Băneasa, Catania, Ibiza, Lamezia Terme, Madrid, Palermo, Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Sofia.
  • Milan-Orio: Bari, Brindisi, Bordeaux, Bucharest-Băneasa, Casablanca, Catania, Ibiza, Istanbul, Lampedusa, Lille, Madrid, Marrakech ,Marseille, Metz-Nancy, Napoli, Palermo, Reggio Calabria, Santorini, Sofia, Tirana.
  • Milan-Malpensa: Bari, Brindisi, Bucharest-Băneasa, Catania, Marrakech, Palma de Mallorca.
  • Naples: Milano-Orio, Bucharest.
  • Rome-Ciampino: Bucharest-Băneasa, Sofia.
  • Venice: Barcelona, Bordeaux, Bucharest-Băneasa, Cagliari, Casablanca, Ibiza, Lille, Madrid, Marrakech, Marseille , Metz-Nancy, Olbia, Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Paris-Orly, Sofia.

The MyAir fleet consists of the following aircraft (at July 2006)[citation needed]:

  • On September 26, 2006 MyAir ordered 14 Bombardier CRJ-900x in a deal valued at $702 million. This order has been converted to the new CRJ-1000 upon its announcement on February 19, 2007.
