Naga City, Cebu

The City of Naga (Cebuano: Dakbayan sa Naga; Tagalog: Lungsod ng Naga) is a component city in the province of Cebu, Philippines. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 80,189 people in 15,806 households.
The city is home to a large power station, situated on a 30-hectare site, [1] Cemex cement factory at Tinaan [2], recently a Small Medium Enterprise (SME) industrial park was opened in barangay Cantao-an. The Industrial park is managed by [3] Planters Developmnet Bank.
Naga is part of a metropolitan area informally called as Metro Cebu.
The Municipality of Naga was converted to a city after a successful plebiscite on September 2, 2007. Its Charter Day is September 5. The town was founded on June 12, 1829.
