Naguanagua is a community of greater Valencia, Carabobo in Venezuela. It is in the valley of the Cabriales River at the eastern base of Cerro Cafe. The highway that runs from the center of Valencia towards Puerto Cabello, passes through this community. The border between Valencia and Naguanagua is indistinguishable. The two cities are continuous. Following Bolivar Avenue north from central Valencia, the street becomes North Bolivar Avenue, and then becomes University Avenue in Naguanagua on the northern side of a traffic roundabout.

Mayor Julio Castillo is in the process of an urban development effort called, in Spanish, "Plan de Desarrollo Urbano Local de Naguanagua." Infrastructure, especially roads, is a main concern in light of recent rapid growth. [1]

Recently, Naguanagua has stuggled with citizens abusing garbage collection policy. Stricter fines and policing are addressing this issue.
