Nanterre massacre
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Nanterre massacre occurred on March 27, 2002, in Nanterre, France, when Richard Durn, a 33-year-old local activist, stormed a late-night meeting of local councillors in Nanterre's town hall, and began firing. Eight councillors died in the attack, making it one of the worst mass shootings in recent French history. Durn died the following day, after leaping from a police station window during an interrogation.
