The Animal Riot of Crescent Moon Island! (大興奮! みかづき島のアニマル騒動(パニック)だってばよ!? romanized as Dai Koufun! Mikazuki Jima no Animal Panic Dattebayo!) is the third film based on the popular Naruto anime and manga series by Masashi Kishimoto. It was announced on August 6, 2005 at the opening of Naruto the Movie 2: Great Clash! The Illusionary Ruins at the Depths of the Earth. It will be released on DVD on April 25, 2007.

The first 100,000 people to see the movie in certain theaters were to receive a Naruto themed yo-yo. It has a picture of Naruto on it, and when spun it lights up, to look like a Spiraling Sphere.[1]

TVTokyo's website states that Naruto the Movie 3: The Animal Riot of Crescent Moon Island will be released in DVD format on April 25, 2007. [2]

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

The movie takes place after episode 196. Footage of this movie is seen in the opening of episode 197. Naruto Uzumaki, Kakashi Hatake, Sakura Haruno, and Rock Lee are assigned to protect the prince of the Land of the Moon during his world trip. The Land of the Moon is a very wealthy nation, so the prince tends to buy whatever he wants, and isn't too quick to follow the directions of his escorts. When the group happens to come across a circus with a rare sabertoothed tiger, he ends up purchasing not only it, but the rest of the animals as well. Now the team has to look over both the spoiled prince and his newly-acquired pets. On top of that, three powerful ninja are hunting them.

Clips of the movie show Sakura and Lee exhibiting some new skills, at least in the context of the anime. Sakura can enhance her strength as shown when fighting one of the ninja. She was able to punch a hole in the wall, and Lee use of nunchakus, which Might Guy uses in Naruto: Shippūden.
