In 2002, Corddry's brother, Rob Corddry was hired as a correspondent on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. On October 4, 2005, Nate made his first appearance on The Daily Show as a correspondent. Rob Corddry left the program on August 24, 2006. Both brothers appeared in the segment "Brother vs. Brother" together on February 21, 2006. In this segment they formally debated each other on the issue of big brother, but their debate quickly turned into a fight until it was stopped by host Jon Stewart.

Nate Corddry's most notable achievement is arguably his work on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, but he has also appeared on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, and The Guiding Light. In 2005, Corddry appeared in a television advertisement for Radio Shack. He has also done commercial work for New York Lottery, Coors Brewing Company, Verizon Communications, Xbox, Dunkin' Donuts, and NYCremembers.org. Nate has trained at the Williamstown Theater Festival, and recently spent almost a year traveling on the road as an actor in the Broadway touring production of The Graduate.

In 2006, Corddry was cast in the Aaron Sorkin comedy-drama series Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, which began airing in September 2006. The show is a weekly drama that provides viewers with a behind-the-scenes look at a fictitious Saturday Night Live-esque television program called Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. Nate plays a character named Tom Jeter who is a writer and performer for the show-within-a-show.
