The National Assembly (De Nationale Assemblée, commonly abbreviated "DNA") represents the legislative branch of government in the Republic of Suriname.
The National Assembly is a unicameral legislature. It comprises 51 members, elected every five years by proportional representation on the basis of the country's component districts.
Paul Somohardjo was appointed as the speaker of the National Assembly in 30 June 2005.
