- This page is about the Arena Football League team. For the team that played in the World League of American Football (now NFL Europa), see New York/New Jersey Knights. For the rugby league team that currently plays in the American National Rugby League see New York Knights (rugby league). For the fictional Major League Baseball team, see The Natural.
The New York Knights were an American football team which played in the Arena Football League during the 1988 season only. They played their home games at Madison Square Garden. Perhaps their failure to win any games played there was a major factor in ensuring that there would be no subsequent seasons of Knights games there or elsewhere. After going 2-10 overall in their only campaign the team folded. The league then went several years before attempting to re-enter the nation's largest media market.
