Newmarket Films is an American film production and film distribution company which is a subsidiary of Newmarket Capital Group. It was founded in 1994.

Newmarket Films is a privately owned and truly independent production and distribution company. Newmarket looks to acquire, produce, and distribute quality films. The company has produced such films as Memento, The Mexican, Cruel Intentions, and the Christopher Nolan film The Prestige. Newmarket has distributed in North America such films as The Passion of the Christ, Whale Rider, Monster, Donnie Darko, and will be theatrically releasing the Sundance award-winner God Grew Tired of Us at the end of the year. The company owns an extensive library of over 300 films.

Newmarket Films has been involved with distributing or producing the following movies:

Newmarket Films has acquired the North American distribution rights to God Grew Tired of Us with the plans for a late fall release in 2006. Most recently, it has been reported that Newmarket bought US distribution rights for the controversial British film Death of a President, which depicts a fictional assassination of President George W. Bush.
