North Atlanta High School

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

North Atlanta High School is a high school of approximately 1,300 students in Buckhead, an upscale area of Atlanta, Georgia. The school is a part of Atlanta Public Schools.

The school was formed after North Fulton High School combined with Northside High School in the 1991-1992 school year. The school has two magnet schools: one consisting of a performing arts program and one geared toward international studies. Students in the 11th and 12th grade have the option of studying in the International Baccalaureate program.

The 2005-06 school year marks the start of the end of the performing arts magnet at North Atlanta. All new students wishing to participate in the performing arts magnet will attend a different school. Another change this school year will be new principal Scott Bursmith.
