Nuno Miguel Barbosa Morais (born January 29, 1984 in Penafiel) is a Portuguese footballer who was signed by Chelsea F.C. on a three-year contract in August 2004 from F.C. Penafiel for an undisclosed fee after a successful trial period. He was loaned to CS Marítimo in 2005/2006 season.
Nuno Morais is a centre-back but can also play in midfield. He made his Chelsea debut in the FA Cup clash with Scunthorpe United in January 2005, playing the full 90 minutes. His career, however, appears to have stuttered since joining Chelsea and his first-team opportunities at the London club look limited. Soon to be 23, Morais may well have to move if he is to get regular first-team football.
