On Every Street is the sixth and final studio album by British rock band Dire Straits, released in 1991 (see 1991 in music).
Not nearly as successful as their previous album, Brothers in Arms, On Every Street has sold over 8 million copies worldwide.
After the band called it quits in 1995, Mark Knopfler pursued a solo career and released his debut album Golden Heart in 1996.
On Every Street was remastered and released with the rest of the Dire Straits catalog on September 19, 2000.
