Operation Summer Rain suboperations are a row of military operations launched by the Israel Defense Forces into the Gaza strip in the aftermath of the capture of Gilad Shalit.

An IDF operation in southern Gaza which began in June 28. The first Summer Rains operation, named after kidnapped solider Gilad Shalit. [1]
