The Oregon State Beavers wrestling program was established in 1909, competing in collegiate wrestling across 85 seasons since then. Traditionally a national powerhouse, the Beavers won the Amateur Athletic Union national championship in 1926 (Oregon State's first national championship in any sport) and have won their conference championship 45 times. The team has produced 82 All-Americans, 12 individual national champions, and is associated with three National Wrestling Hall of Fame members. The team has finished a season ranked in the NCAA top 25 on 39 occasions, including finishing 18 seasons in the top 10 and two seasons as national runner-ups.[1]

Jim Zalesky is the head coach. The team's all-time dual meet record is 912-288-26 as of the end of the 2006-07 season.
