Ormesby is a surburb spanning the Middlesbrough and Redcar & Cleveland urban areas in North East England within the ceremonial county of North Yorkshire. Although merely parts of Ormesby lie within the borough of Middlesbrough, with the rest reserved for the borough of Redcar & Cleveland, it is more often identified as being under Middlesbrough's wing.

The original Ormesby Village, comprising of the High Street's 18th century Sundial Row (a terrace of ex-almshouses and stables now privately owned) that now behaves as the centerpiece to a conservation area, alongside the National Trust property, Ormesby Hall, historically belonged to the parish of Ormesby. This settlement was initially separate from the parish of Eston but was later included in the Eston urban district.

It latterly became fully urbanised. It has a population of approximately 6,500 residents.
