Ota is a Portuguese parish, located in the municipality of Alenquer. It has a population of 1,198 inhabitants and a total area of 46.36 Km².
After many years of discussion it was established that the new Lisbon International Airport will be built in this town. The conclusion date is to 2014 as also the new Portuguese High-Speed Train will be ready. It will be served by many highways that will be constructed and by the national highway that links Lisbon to Porto.
