An Otta (Malayalam: ഒട്ട) is a S-formed curved stick used as a weapon in the Indian martial art of Kalarippayattu. It is used for striking the marmas (vital points) in the opponent's body. Otta is considered as the most important among wooden weapons and a sacred one too. It is considered to represent the tusk that Lord Ganesha lost. It is a master's weapon.[citation needed].
