The Ottawa Jr. Senators are a Tier II Junior "A" ice hockey team from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. They are a part of the Central Junior A Hockey League. The teams has also been known as the Montagnards, Primrose, and Rangers. The Senators were one of the original founding teams of the CJHL. The team went on hiatus for a short time in the 1970s due to financial problems presented by heavy travel and dwindling league ticket sales. The Senators, whether under the name Primrose, Montagnards, or Rangers, have always been a successful and talented team.
