Overcast is a metalcore band from Boston, Massachusetts, who some credit as being the pioneers of the metalcore scene. They were together from August 1991 until November 1998, when they disbanded after a less than successful US tour. Members include Brian Fair, now lead vocalist for Shadows Fall; Mike D'Antonio, bassist and founder member of Killswitch Engage; and Pete Cortese, of Seemless; Scott McCooe; and Jay Fitzgerald.

In 2006, the following was posted on their MySpace page and website regarding their reformation:

"...Overcast will be re-recording 10-14 classic tracks and 2 unreleased songs for a full length album entitled "Reborn To Kill Again", in May 2006. Adam Dutkiewicz has signed on as producer of this endeavor and we could not be happier. As far as a label - talks are still currently in negotiation (more as it comes). "
