Overture of the Wicked is an EP by Iced Earth, which will be released in June 4, 2007 in Europe and June 5, 2007 in USA. The EP will feature the band's new single "Ten Thousand Strong", as well as a rerecording of the original "Something Wicked" trilogy (from the album "Something Wicked This Way Comes"), featuring most of the band's October 2006-March 2007 lineup, with guitarist Jon Schaffer playing bass on the 4 songs. "Overture of the Wicked" is the only official Iced Earth release with former guitarist Tim Mills, and drummer Brent Smedley's first Iced Earth recordings since 1999's The Melancholy E.P.
