Paranoia: 1.0 (a.k.a. One Point O) is a 2004 sci-fi film, which was written and directed by Jeff Renfroe and Marteinn Thorsson. The IMDb has described it as "a Kafka-esque nightmare about a young computer programmer who becomes a guinea pig in an insidious sinister experiment." The film stars Jeremy Sisto and Deborah Unger.

According to the DVD, "A paranoid computer programmer wakes up one morning to find a plain brown package in his apartment. He unwraps it, but there is nothing inside. Despite attempts to secure his apartment, the mysterious packages keep appearing. While security cameras watch his every move, his hallucinations are pushing him to the boundaries of sanity. He frantically searches for answers to the mysterious forces taking over his life. Little does he know that the problem is a lot closer to home than he thinks."

The film can be seen as a cautionary tale about the psychological threats that our modern culture and society face. Layered into the movie are other themes of modern society: alienation, psychic numbness, mistrust, the pressure to conform, and the dangers of consumerism and unmonitored technology. The two main characters, Simon (Jeremy Sisto) and Trish (Deborah Unger), walk around in a dreamlike zombie state, a metaphor for the numbing quality of a culture that sucks people's souls dry with more and more pressure to perform, to conform, to consume.

Other characters adding their own pieces of alienation to this surrealistic film include Bruce Payne as The Neighbor, a producer of virtual reality porn films; Udo Kier as Derrick, an eccentric robot-inventor who creates "Adam" (an odd, artificially intelligent robot-head); Lance Henriksen as Howard, a strange and mysterious janitor; and Eugene Byrd as Nile, a leather-clad motorcycle courier, whose services are desperately needed.
