With many appearances on television, film and stage, Elliott currently portrays "Renée Divine Buchanan" on the ABC soap opera, One Life to Live, a role she has played on-and-off since 1987.

She won a Tony for her performance in the Broadway musical A Little Night Music, based on Ingmar Bergman's Smiles of a Summer Night against stiff competition that included the late actresses Irene Ryan and costar Hermione Gingold.
