Paul Stephen McKenna (b. 20 October 1977, Chorley, Lancashire) is an English professional footballer currently in his testimonial year at Preston North End. After making his debut in 1997 his appearance tally has now passed the 350 game mark and now at 29 years old he is the club's longest serving player.[1] With over 350 appearances to his name already, this diminutive midfielder is well on his way to become one of the elite players with most appearances for the club.

One of Paul's most memorable moments, both for himself and the Deepdale faithful, was scoring the winning penalty in the penalty shoot-out of the Play-Off Semi-Final second leg between Preston and Birmingham at Deepdale in 2001, which saw the Whites head to the Millennium Stadium for the Division 1 Play-Off Final. This incidentally was the first Division 1 Play-Off Final to be staged there since the demolition of Wembley Stadium.

He was voted PFA Player of the Season at the end of the 2004-05 season after 35 appearances and 3 goals.[2]

He signed a new 3 1/2 year contract November 2005.[3]
