Paul John Weitz (born 1965[1], New York, New York), an American film director and screenwriter.

Weitz is the son of the actress Susan Kohner and novelist/fashion designer John Weitz. Paul Kohner and Lupita Tovar are his grandparents.
Growing up in New York City, he attended The Collegiate School for boys. Then, he graduated from Wesleyan University, where he wrote the play Mango Tea. The play went on to performances off-Broadway.
Weitz is known for his work with his brother, Chris Weitz. However, he wrote and directed In Good Company and American Dreamz by himself. His credits as a director include American Pie and About a Boy. His credits as a writer include Antz and the television show Cracking Up.
