With the intention of helping his parolee get a loan, Henry, along with Paige, go to a bank but instead the parolee decides to take everyone at the bank hostage. After changing his mind thanks to his son the parolee is possessed by a demon enemy of Billie's who is determined to force the Charmed Ones and Billie to reveal their magic. Meanwhile, Phoebe and Piper have their hands full when, during his third birthday party, Wyatt turns three of his toys into real people. After Henry is hurt Paige develops her own healing power and heals his injury just enough to save him but not fully so it looks like the bullet just missed all of his major organs. The crisis is resolved when Paige and Billy glamor to look like each other and the demon teleports Paige to Magic School where she orbs them to the Manor where Billie vanquishes the demon.

  • Rohtul: A demon with the power to possess his victims and shimmer
  • Creo: A generic demon and would-be tried to rule the underworld
  • Dominax: A generic demon and would-be tried to rule the underworld

  • To Make a Toy Show Love: Little boy's bear, show me how you care. Tell me how you feel, as if you are real.

  • The title of this episode is a play on words to the popular saying Payback's a bitch.
  • This episode received a 2.2/3 Nielsen Ratings.
  • This is the fifth episode in which one of the Charmed Ones heals using Whitelighter powers. Piper uses this power in the episodes Love Hurts and Siren's Song while Paige performs the same feat in Charmed Again (Part 2) and Charmed and Dangerous. As opposed to the previous times Paige healed though, in this episode she did it on her own using her naturally self-developing powers to heal Henry.
  • The song during the opening guest-star credits is Depeche Mode's "Precious."
  • This episode reveals that Henry's last name is Mitchell.
  • Wyatt's third birthday is celebrated in this episode.
  • With the airing of this episode, Charmed became the longest running TV show with all female leads.
  • This is the first hair change for Kaley Cuoco in the season. It is a little shorter and with a long fringe.
  • In the episode "Love Hurts" Piper switches powers with Leo. Since Leo's trigger was love when it came to healing people it is possible that this is one of the first times we had proof that Paige loves Henry.
  • Paige loses her voice towards the end of the episode after the switch.
  • Paige gains the power to heal others on her own in this episode but only uses it twice more on screen to heal Henry of a fireball injury and then to heal Piper of an injury to her shoulder gotten fighting a demon while Paige was on her hooneymoon.

  • French: Hold-up (The Hold-up)
  • German: Mit gleicher Münze
  • Spanish: La venganza de una hija
