Formed: 1997

Home Ground: Rushton Park, Mandurah

Colours: Teal Green, Navy Blue and White.

Nickname: Thunder

League Coaches: Geoff Miles (1997- mid-98), Troy Wilson (mid 1998- 1999), Shane Cable (2000- 2001), Peter German (2002), John Ditchburn (2003), Gary Hocking (2004- 2005), Chris Waterman (2006-present)

League Premierships: None to date

Since admission into the WAFL, Peel Thunder has had very little success, despite the amount of talent coming through its colts and reserves teams. This has raised concerns elsewhere in the WAFL over the viability of the team and has had quite a negative effect on the club's reputation. With the club's new coach for 2006, the team has set out to improve their standing in the WAFL. This led to a much improved season, avoiding the Wooden Spoon and gaining some much needed self confidence. The way in which the club finished this years season has resulted in many fans eager to see how their team will fair in the 2007 season.

The league side is coached by ex-West Coast Eagles premiership player, Chris Waterman (nick-named Muddy), who took over the senior coaching position for the 2006 season from ex-Geelong Football Club premiership player, Gary Hocking.

The reserves are coached by Chris Bayliss, the new reserves coach for 2007. Bayliss is taking over from Chris Chipman, who's contract was not renewed at the end of the 2006 season.

Tom Watson is the new colts coach for 2007, taking over from Trevor Williams, who lead the team to a dual premiership in 2004 and 2005. He also coached all three of the 2006 draft picks from, Scott Gumbleton, Lee Bullock and Mathew Docker.
