Pepper Hamilton LLP is a law firm founded in 1890.

Pepper Hamilton began when George Wharton Pepper joined the law practice of Bayard Henry in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to form Henry and Pepper.
In 1954, the firm merged with Evans, Bayard & Frick to form Pepper, Bodine, Frick, Scheetz & Hamilton. Principals in Evans Bayard & Frick included John G. Johnson, Ralph Evans, Francis H. Scheetz. Shortly after the merger Pepper retired as chair and was succeeded by John D.M. Hamilton in 1955. In 1960, the firm merged with Moffett, Frye & Leopold. They took their current name in 1998.
In 2007, the firm was named in two lawsuits involving the collapse of a student loan company that was a client. [1]
